Study for the new city market extending over the new pedestrian bridge in Ljubljana.

The project is situated in a rural and agricultural North-East region of Slovenia with a proximity to a spa with natural hotwater springs. It was approached with a great care towards the morphology and context of the mostly private housing area. The program was split into two buidlings that should not stands out neither in size nor the use of materials. The only feature that differs is the application and interpretation of the pitched roof.

The new development with its program has a potential to create new urban meeting point for the inhabitants. The building is conceptually organized around a helix device. Through the underground floors the helix provides the organization of the units, the routing for the people and the main bearing structure.

The city of Pontecagnano Faiano announced an international design competition aimed at the realization of a European Center for Emerging Creativity with the remodeling of the former Centola tobacco factory. Elastik won a 3rd prize.
